Aeris, Rameau und Helvetica Mono

Big raffle of the new Linotype fonts

Author:

In cooperation with Linotype, Slanted is raffling off one of the three new fonts in the Linotype catalogue: Aeris, Rameau and Helvetica Monospaced with a total value of over 1600 Euro.

The Aeris is a humanistic sans serif by Tom Grace. It has very good legibility, clear contrasts in line width and very soft shapes reminiscent of nibs. The family is very differentiated, all cuts are available in three versions: B for small dot sizes, A for larger and Titling for headlines.

Drawings that served as models for the Rameau are from 18th century France. The rhythm of the family is reminiscent of a handwriting, the strong contrasts and extremely long serifs on the capital letters convey a French elegance.

Finally, Helvetica Mono is the long overdue monospaced version of the classic Helvetica by Miedinger, designed by Linotype Design Studio.

We raffle a complete family of the Aeris, the Rameau and the Helvetica Monospaced. If you want to get the chance to win, write an email to [email protected] with the name of the font you want to win. The raffle ends on Monday, 21.02.2011, 10 am. Whoever takes part in the raffle agrees to receive news from Slanted. Legal recourse is excluded.
