Das Studio Grafikum aus Wien hat eine liebevolle Publikation zum Sound Festival The Morning Line - Vienna gestaltet.
This is a music magazine designed for Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary. It is part of a limited edition package including also a book, an invitation folder and a 12" vinyl record. The magazine presents the program of a festival for spatial sound and advanced music composition taking place in Vienna at “The Morning Line” a sculpture by Matthew Ritchie.
The design of all items reflects the parametric and complex character of Matthew Ritchie’s work. The grid and the type setting scale in correspondence to the underlying shape of the sculpture (hexagon) and its growth algorithm. The usage of different paper weights and the ensemble of formats are also based on this concept.
