Landing Hong Kong

The designer and photographer Daniel Bretzmann edited his first photo book. The book Landing Hong Kong is a journey and it has taken some time to finish it. It all started with a trip to Hong Kong in 2007 and it turned out to be a much more personal and intensive project than he had thought at the beginning.

The photo book takes the viewer on a journey through urban sceneries and spaces which most travelers pay little attention to. The images captured show a very orderly, structured view of a city that seems almost extinct, but also represents constant change, chaos, and crowds. Nevertheless, shifting the angle reveals us unseen beauty and order in the apparent chaos.
