Inspired by the letterforms adorned with spiraling swirly roots and leaves in "Kunstrichtige Schreibart," a seventeenth-century German calligraphy publication. The graphic is a altered version of an almost unreadable capital "E" (of "Experiment") that appeared in the book. The letterform was scanned, photocopied, then rescanned again while rotating the printout in the direction of the spiraling ornaments, with the distorted end-result showing visible traces of analog and digital editing.
