Allan Sekula: OKEANOS
Allan Sekula: OKEANOS inaugurated TBA21’s year-long series of events, exhibits, talks and performances dedicated to the oceans. The exhibition presented a selection of works by American artist and theorist Allan Sekula whose most significant area of inquiry remained the political economy of seafaring.
The visual identity features a vibrant color palette, robust typography and corrugated rectangular shapes echoing Sekula’s recurring motif of cargo-containers. The stacking of solid colors evokes the diversity of forces that shape global economy.

August
A project created to explore the beauty in everyday normality through the female body. I combine real life proportions with a stylised drawing approach, exploring an intense, fleshy pink colour palette and elements of the present-day. This allows me to transform the traditions of classical art present in my work into ambiguous narratives of modern life.
naissance patriotique
It’s a “captation photographique” personal term to my work. This is a photographic staging made without special effects or computer retouching. All the color, composition and light work is done in the studio during the shooting.
For the print, I would like you use the best possibility.
Also, I would like to propose you a second proposition. As you will see on my website, I make very colorful wallpapers for the walls of my exhibitions and installations. I propose to create a pattern especially for Slanted which will be printed in full page with bright colors and neon inks. The presence of this motif on a full page suggests the extension of the motif outside the magazine like a wallpaper.
Space to Create
Typographic series for Foundry 852 – A new WPP Campus in Hong Kong. It’s a “Space to Create”, with each poster illustrating a different value for the new space, in Chinese lettering. Spanning multiple creative techniques as design, illustration, 3D animation, clay sculpting, & augmented reality. The posters and animations were displayed on screens and as prints throughout their new campus as motivation.

(Train)Love
This one is for the train nerds. Detailed wall we painted in Zuffenhausen for Deutsche Bahn. We picked up some elements of the different Stuttgart s-train coatings, mixed it up with some DB-displayboards and added some graphic patterns and graffiti-elements. Thanks Paul Furmaniak for rendering the 3D-water drops.
Digital Glas Insects
Trying to combine the aesthetics of insects with the aesthetics of glas. With the help of simple 3d shapes and just a few colours.
Mirror Ball
“Polydor Records asked me to design a poster responding to a track from Paul Weller’s most recent album „On sunset“. Sonically the album has a psychedelic, earthy vibe. I was really excited about the task to design a poster for a lyric. When I still went to university, I used to do this more often as a practice for designing posters. Music and lyrics in general do not only determine the content of posters, but give a lot of inspiration for the design. The lyrics of mirror ball immediately inspired me and it was fun to create the poster for it.
Honestly?
This piece belongs to Jesu Moratiel’s Superfake Paintings series. A body, from the point of view of a film camera, appear with a new skin. With a post-punk cybernetic aesthetics, that also remind to a new ancient egyptian hieroglyphics, the body with the texture of Spotify appear in a suggestive position, dancing, in a festive situation, that remind us of body contact sensations and the rituals that define us as social beings. The corporate image of the large multinationals in the digital age is expanding, becoming the packaging that represents us, they end up being part of our needs just like the skin we inhabit. We are part of them and they are part of us. Welcome to the great hive.

The Digital Shift
The Digital Shift is changing the world as we know it. Previously unimaginable technological possibilities are already in motion—or just around the corner. The rise of Artificial Intelligence will create new business models, products, and services. But in order to establish a new global prosperity paradigm, the industry must finally start thinking radically from a human perspective. Artificial Intelligence must become civilized. Artificial Intelligence must complete a transition, to what we call Personal Intelligence. Whereas it is currently a tool used only by the elite, Artificial Intelligence must become a tool for everyone. As a consequence, the discipline of design will take on a prominent role in the personalization of Artificial Intelligence. How do corporations adjust to this new personalized technology? To move corporations forward, Christian von Reventlow and Philipp Thesen, have developed series of radically new, human-centered methods, and models, delivered in this fascinating book The Digital Shift.
As Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Designer at Deutsche Telekom, von Reventlow and Thesen have analyzed the societal repercussions of the increasing adoption of AI. During the past five years, the duo has shifted Deutsche Telekom from being infrastructure-led to being design-led, placing empathy and humanity at its core. By fostering one of Europe’s largest design teams, the two have gained deep understanding of how artificial intelligence works within the public domain, and how it leaves an impact on millions of users every day.

Lovestore — Ben&Jo Campaign
This poster comes from a campaign created by our agency. After the first lockdown that started in France last March, the companies we were working with suffered an economic impact. That is why we took the decision to gift a billboard campaign in Strasbourg to our clients.
All the posters were designed with the same structure: a typographic frame that creates a link between all of them. Each poster also integrates the specific visual identity previously created for each client. This poster presents (dé)boutonné.e.s, a lovestore in Strasbourg. It combines a raster photograph for its eroticism to a typographic composition evoking the spank of a good smack on the bottom.

Ecstatic Clash
The Ecstatic collection is focusing on women and the female body. Growing up with media and getting confronted with the permanent presence of female discrimination and sexualization, gender equality became an important topic in Julia’s mind. Being half German/half Persian, she was recognising soon differences between men and women in both societies. Julia wants to point out, that independent from culture, patriarchism is still a big deal in the 21st century. The Ecstatic collection visualize the future woman, celebrating freedom and the full control of her mind, body, and soul.

Colors
I made this poster on a weekend just messing around with overlapping shapes in different colors as a form of relaxation. Playing with colors is really fun and can lead to very interesting, unexpected results such as this one. I’m really happy that we can perceive them with our eyes and also experience them in nature in such a vivid spectrum. 🙂
Personal Fashion Sketch
Besides my commercial work I free my mind with very quick fashion sketches.
