Poster created for protest against police violence

How big can your feelings make you? How secure does your home make you feel? How much does your home affect you as a person?

The artwork “Ukrainian Realism” was created in the end of May 2023, when Kyiv had been massively attacked by Russia 17 times – almost on a daily basis. The collage shows of the artist’s impressions of all horrible morning news of that month.

This immersive war simulation used manipulated 360-degree images of Basel and was presented as an interactive website. The viewer was able to look around and visit multiple places in the city.

The magazine-manifesto Buriak aims to explore the surrounding visual and auditory space to develop new ways of perceiving and reproducing images within the existing information sphere. Buriak offers daily exercises to train the creative muscles of creators and is interesting for anyone who seeks to attentively experience the moments of daily life. Buriak has its workshops, that always are an expedition with recording of findings in the form of zines, posters, maps etc.
Buriak means beetroot.

“Nikifor” or “Nykyfor” is the name used by Epifan or Epifaniusz Drowniak, a Lemko naïve artist who lived Krynica (today’s Poland).
Exhibition was at The Ukrainian Museum in Ney York in 2023.

This linocut letter ornament offers a multi-layered experience of perceiving and deriving meaning from letters. They aren’t just tools of communication but also independent graphic elements. This transformation enables a dual sensation: recognizing familiar letters and uncovering new meanings within the ornament. The ornament of the unique Ukrainian letter “ї” represents the bricks of the identity well as if one is looking into its depth.

Illustration created for the celebration of Kyiv City Day. It depicts the “Southern Bridge” and the inscription “Slopes of the Dnipro”(Shyly_Dnipra) – a reference to a well-known song about the city. This illustration reflects the hope that the city experienced three months after the full-scale invasion. I saw a beautiful bridge at sunset and decided to preserve this feeling for everyone.

‘Object’ is an accidental font, which in this case acts as a graphic image of the environment, drawing the viewer’s attention to the uniqueness, form’s character of this or that object encourages reflection, allowing looking at the surrounding world and analyzing everything that fills it.

Spilnosti (ukrainian word, in end — community) is about the attraction to one another; it’s about connection. It’s about the spark that exists between you. When the sun is the sun, but each connection is its own sun. It’s your language; it’s your communities. It’s when only two know what’s between them. Spilnosti have found their reflection in zine.

This poster shows a small flower that symbolizes Ukraine, which simply lives on its land. And one day this picture changed. This was the beginning of a massive attack that was launched by russia and continues to this day.

Warning Books is a book series about war and culture. These are translated into Ukrainian research and collections of lectures and articles written at the intersection of various fields of humanities — from literary criticism, history and philosophy to art theory, media and anthropology. Ist Publishing launched this series in 2022 in response to a full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine.

I created this triptych of collages on 14/01/23 in honor of assigning the name “Edelweiss” to the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade
