Palyanytsya is a traditional Ukrainian bread. During russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, this word also became a traditional check for russians who disguised themselves in Ukrainian uniforms.

Not rain
In Kyiv there is a sculpture “Rain” by Nazar Bilyk. There is a raindrop on the head of the statue. According to the author, the sculpture symbolizes the connection between human and the world around him.
Kyiv is my city. And that’s how I see this sculpture today.

The devourer
This work is a part of Olga Lisowska’s picture book «Wolf swarm», which tells the story of a girl, chased by wolves. Wolves are the metaphorical depiction of life with depression.

We had to go in one line and shoot
This illustration was made for a «Dead lawyers society» media. The article is a diary of Olexiy Chornetsky, the court correspondent of this magazine, where he describes everything that happens to him after mobilization into the Ukrainian army.

Pastiche
I used Dadaists cut-up technique to create a new poster from my old works. I did it to confirm the idea that everything new is just a reinterpretation of old.

Have a nice day
This work is part of a series «Black spring», which was started in April 2022. This series is about the nightmares Olga had every night after the start of a full-scale war, about loss and the vast emptiness that remains in place of a past life, about chthonic horror and the afterlife. But it works is also about the fact that even on the ashes one can live on, because life feels much more acute if death is nearby.
Resistance
On the second day of the russian invasion of Ukraine, I decided to draw this illustration of the Ukrainian military repelling the invasion of russian troops, personified by putin. At that time, I was overwhelmed with pride for our people, because it is very difficult to resist such a great and powerful evil.
Typographic Moboblock
The idea is to see something unique in everyday objects (artification) like, for instance, plastic chairs from a cheap café.
Chornobyl. The vanishing logo
To draw attention to Chornobyl’s disappearing history, Banda created the travel branding for the Exclusion Zone. The studio began by searching for a powerful image that would help people reflect on what happened in Chornobyl, and this is where the idea of vanishing branding was born. Each year it gradually fades, to eventually disappear forever. The idea became the core of a fluid visual system, with time itself becoming the main visual character.
Posters of War
A series of posters dedicated to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The posters are politicized and full of despair. The radicalism and aggressiveness of some of the statements is what many Ukrainians wanted to shout out during the first 2 months of the war, which were the most difficult. These posters are a visual monument to the difficult experiences that were replaced by faith and the desire to continue living.

Lexicon – Post-graffitti series
These two works from a continued series show a metaphoric wordplay that is hard to translate. “Ніжно” means tender, “ніж” is a knife. “Спокійна” – calm, but “Спокій n/a” turns into “calmness n/a”. Surrounded by intuitive line drawings, these wordplays reflect the dualist nature of the mind.
