Our quest for inspiration brought us to the extraordinary Irma Boom, a warm and remarkable artist, graciously opening the doors of her creative sanctuary.
Irma Boom is an Amsterdam based bookmaker. Her experimental approach challenges the conventions of the traditional book. She teaches at Yale and Harvard Universities and lectures worldwide. MoMA, the Vatican Library, and the Centre Pompidou have her books in their permanent collections. The University of Amsterdam has her Living Archive. She has been awarded the Gutenberg Prize, the Johannes Vermeer Prize, and many other prizes.
