Slanted in Amsterdam: thonik
Slanted Magazine #41—Amsterdam
Setting off on a thrilling expedition into Amsterdam’s design realm, the Slanted team dived into the heart of the Dutch capital, exploring its artistic riches in our 41st magazine. Our pursuit of inspiration guided us to visit the design studio thonik. Stepping into their studio, we immersed ourselves in a dialog with with Nikki Gonnissen and Thomas Widdershoven about their multidisciplinary way of working and their approach to projects.
thonik is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Amsterdam, focused on change. They operate globally, with major projects in Europe and Asia. Working with like-minded and often long-term partners thonik aims for social, cultural, and political impact. They adhere to a digital-first design strategy. Often the moving image serves as the starting point for graphic, digital and spatial design.
More about thonik can be found in the Slanted Magazine #41—Amsterdam. Additionally we shot a video interview with Nikki Gonnissen and Thomas Widdershoven, talking about their point of view on art and opinions about the future.
