Slanted in Rwanda: Jacques Nkinzingabo / Kigali Center for Photography
Special Issue Rwanda
For our special issue Slanted Rwanda we traveled to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, in February 2019 and met numerous designers and artists in their studios.
Born in Kigali, Jacques Nkinzingabo lives and works in Rwanda’s capital as a self-taught photographer and visual storyteller specializing in documentary photography. He is the founder of the Kigali Center for Photography that aims to explore and promote Rwandan and foreign photography, support emerging Rwandan artists and explore beyond the medium. Furthermore, Nkinzingabo is the co-founder of the KwandaArt Foundation, which helps promoting Rwanda’s photography and art community internationally through festivals, workshops, and exhibitions.
The exciting works of Jacques Nkinzingabo can be found in the Slanted Special Issue Rwanda, additionally we conducted a video interview with Jacques about his attitude and work. Take a look at our new issue and the video platform to meet a new side of Rwanda!
