Armenian TypoLyrics – Call for Entries
During Granshan 2012, in Yerevan, Armenia, will be a TypoLyrics Exhibition! With much success from our last Exhibition in Munich, we are excited to be currating again! How can the mood or the tone of sound be interpreted with typographic expressions on paper? How can type appeal to our emotional senses like music? What we are looking to accomplish for this exhibition is a range of different designers’ interpretations of songs in TypoLyric format. Having your own personal style while experimenting with the typography, are important and interesting for us.
Since the exhibition will be a part of Granshan 2012, we ask that the poster be typeset and designed in Armenian. We will provide you a typeface, Armenian or with an Armenian weight, and ask that you pick your own lyrics from an Armenian song that you can construct a creative poster with.
The deadline for entries is April 23, 2012. Due to limited time and space, if you agree to participate, please send us the title of the song you will be collecting lyrics from by March 21, 2012. Since, we will be gathering posters from a total of 20 designers, song selection will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
If you can read and typeset in Armenian and think you’re up to the challenge, send an email to [email protected] for more information.
