COMMA Art City
Vom 20. Juni bis 17. Juli kamen in Perugia, Italien, 15 Künstler zusammen. Die Stadt wurde zu einer einzigen Ausstellung. Sowohl in als auch an und um Gebäude herum waren die Kunstwerke zu sehen.
Drei Künstler aus Amsterdam haben COMMA Art City auf die Beine gestellt. Sie kommen ursprünglich aus Perugia, und weil sie ihre Heimatstadt nicht vergessen haben, stellten sie eine Verbindung zu ihrem aktuellen Leben her: Sie luden Künstler aus acht verschiedenen Ländern, die alle momentan in Amsterdam leben, nach Italien ein.
Maxi Meissner, der, wie ein paar der Teilnehmer/Organisatoren, Mitglied des No New Enemies Network ist, reiste nach Perugia. Er führte Interviews mit den Künstlern und veröffentlichte interessante Berichte über das Event. Die Artikel findet ihr hier.

Die Veranstalter über COMMA Art City:
The comma indicates a pause in a sentence. It is the moment of breathing; is a suspension. The comma doesn’t break down the conversation, but opens to a new dialogue, leaves the space to think and sometimes suggests a different ending. A moment suspended in time that will leave a sign of what happened, a trace of a group of artists who share the daily life and the final aim.
With this project, Perugia presents the work of 15 artists. The works will be split into exhibition spaces and public interventions, getting in touch with a widely diversified public and establishing a direct connection with the city.
