Der Britische Verlag Unit Editions veröffentlicht die 10. Ausgabe ihrer Unit Serie, die sich monothematisch mit Strömungen des Designs oder biografisch mit Designgrößen befasst. Die im März erscheinende Ausgabe widmet sich dem niederländschen Typografen Jurriaan Schrofer.

Most of all he was an experimentalist in letterforms and typography. He was a pioneer in corporate identity; a designer of photo books; and art director of architectural magazine Forum.
In the essay, design writer Frederike Huygen, writer of the sold out monograph Wim Crouwel: Mode en Module, describes Schrofer’s work as “research into perception, visual effects and the optical illusion of perspective: or the interplay of letterform, pattern and meaning.” She also refers to him as a “computer-designer before the computer”.
