Time on Tapestry / الزمن على البساط

'Time on Tapestry' celebrates the intricacies of traditional Islamic art forms through a contemporary interpretation of the Islamic calendar. Each month's visual draws inspiration from references that reflect its themes and meaning, expressed through typography & patterns. The calendar repurposes old carpets, significant to Middle Eastern culture, which were cut, bleached, and printed on the back. A smaller accompanying manual details the art styles, carpet sourcing, and the creative process.
